Synoptic Deliver National IP & Data Network for The City Bin Co.
Synoptic have been a long-standing and valued member of the Viatel Technology Partner Programme. The Viatel Technology Partner Programme enables Viatel Technology Partners to take full advantage of Viatel’s complete suite of Cloud & Connectivity Solutions and avail of dedicated support to enable them harness the potential of Viatel’s capability to support them and their customers.
Viatel have worked with Synoptic for many years now supporting them to deliver cost effective and resilient network connectivity solutions to their end customers. Viatel were delighted recently to support Synoptic and their customer The City Bin Co to deliver a fully managed IP & Data network as part of a network refresh project. The Viatel solution enabled Synoptic deliver on their brief to The City Bin Co to deliver additional cost savings, improved performance and manageability across their estate. Utilising Viatel’s extensive geographic network infrastructure and managed MPLS capability, Viatel delivered a fully managed scalable IP & Data network connecting all of The City Bin Co branch locations onto a single network. This network is managed and supported for Synoptic 24X7x365 by Viatel’s Network Operations Centre.

The City Bin Co is Ireland’s fastest growing and most innovative waste management and recycling operator, since their inception in 1997 the company now services tens of thousands of businesses and homes from Galway to Dublin and have earned notable awards along the way. The City Bin Co. was the first and only company in the waste management industry to be placed on the ‘Index of Excellence’ by Excellence Ireland. The practice and pursuit of excellence is part of the company culture. They have been a Deloitte Best Managed Companies (Ireland) four years in a row as well as representing Ireland twice in the European Business Awards in the area of Customer Focus.

Since 2014 Synoptic have been providing Voice and IP services to The City Bin Co both in Galway and Dublin, at the beginning of 2018 it was evident that due to the company’s significant growth they needed to implement a more comprehensive scalable network to connect all locations. Synoptic deployed a solution utilising the extensive Viatel national network which was more robust and commercially attractive than any other option available, based on this along with Synoptic’s historic ability to deliver for The City Bin Co they were awarded the contract to roll out a fully managed IP & Data solution nationwide. This new network has enabled The City Bin Co to put in place an infrastructure that will be ready for any future eventualities or requirements.

Synoptic deploy network infrastructure for Global Law Practice Eversheds Sutherland
Eversheds Sutherland, founded in 1988 with over 4,000 staff. Operating as a Global Top 15 Law Practice Eversheds Sutherland have a significant position in the Irish market. As Ireland’s only full-service international law firm Eversheds Sutherland provide expert legal services to a predominantly business client base across a broad spectrum of areas. Their partners and solicitors strive to work in a collaborative partnership with their clients to deliver premium legal advice on time, and within budget through their innovative project management structure which is unique among the legal profession. – Eversheds Sutherland went to market to source mission critical IP and Data infrastructure, a core requirement for their needs was an enterprise level IP Access circuit at their head offices in Dublin 2 and a diverse data connection between their Dublin and Belfast offices. Synoptic Communications successfully deployed this infrastructure using duel carrier partners thus offering complete resiliency to the network, Virgin Media being the primary infrastructure network utilised.

THE CONNACHT HOTEL
One of Galway’s largest hotels team up with Synoptic to deploy high grade network infrastructure.
Connacht Hotel is one of Galway’s busiest and most popular hotels. With over 350 rooms the hotel regularly has over one thousand guests in house. The hotel itself is a family friendly venue with kids club and a host of family room types. It is also very popular with corporate guest with its ample free parking, complimentary Wi-Fi and convenient location close to the motorway and business parks. The Connacht is a popular meeting and event’s venue with eight meeting rooms including The Ryan Room which can hold over 250 people.

Galco recently celebrated their 50th anniversary providing corrosion protection across the country of Ireland. Galco provides hot dip galvanising services to the steel fabrication market with 5 locations strategically located across Ireland and their Access Covers & Drainage division, located in Dublin, serves the Builders Providers industry nationwide.

IRISH STUDIO MEDIA PUBLISHING
Synoptic design complete telecoms solution for New York based digital media company Irish Studio.
According to Ciaran Casey, CEO Irish Studio, ‘’the team at Synoptic project managed the full deployment of our new telecoms infrastructure from start to finish and ahead of schedule for our staff’s arrival at our new Dublin 2 offices. With the complexity of the solution to be considered, it was quite a task to have it all deployed in such tight timelines. Synoptic now manage and support all areas of the solution which has been running without a hitch since its inception. Great team to work with, they provide a great service and make the complex simple’’.
The new Irish Studio offices were due to open early 2018 so the company engaged Synoptic with the view to securing a provider that could deploy a full telecoms solution whilst working to very tight timelines. Within two weeks from order, Synoptic had successfully deployed a complete diverse telecoms network, a SIP PBX solution was installed along with two diverse Internet Access circuits whilst also building in two diverse SIP paths for call connectivity. Building in this level of resiliency was crucial to the dynamic requirements of Irish Studio.
